Stephen Albert is a horticulturist, certified nurseryman, master gardener, and University of California instructor, author, and home cook. Stephen is the editor-in-chief of Harvesttotable.com, a practical garden, and food website with more than 10 million visitors each year. Stephen has lived and gardened in many regions of the United States–California, Iowa, Massachusetts, and Florida. He now grows vegetables, herbs, and fruits in the Sonoma Valley of California. For nearly three decades, Stephen taught in the landscape design program at the extension college of the University of California at Berkely. He also served as a director and president of the master gardeners of Sonoma County, Unversity of California, Davis. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Westmont College, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Iowa. His practical gardening books include The Kitchen Garden Grower’s Guide, Vegetable Garden Almanac & Planner, and Tomato Grower’s Answer Book. His online course for Vegetable Garden Growers’ Masterclass will be available in 2022.
